Module 1: Goals for This Course and Thoughts About Article

Throughout the course I would like to learn how to be more culturally sensitive to my students connect with them on a level that is comfortable for them.  The article was not surprising to me as I am an African American teacher and have had teachers who assumed that I was not capable of learning because of my skin color.  I always make an effort not to be that teacher.
