Module 14 Discussion: What Has Changed?
What Has Changed?
A Traditional Learning Paradigm centers the teacher as a gatekeeper of correct knowledge, however an Engaged Learning Paradigm centers students as collaborators with teachers wherein all play a role in a meaningful learning process. In the new models, students are positively interdependent and individually accountable for creating meaning throughout the curriculum. What remains the same is the teacher's role in providing opportunities for discovery, exploration, and growth.
