After looking at the data showing students aren't scoring well as a result of comprehension, I would instruct the staff in using one of Marzanos instructional strategies which are non-linguistic to help solidify meaning - graphic organizers, pictures, concrete representations and creating mental images. Have the staff practicing using a vocabulary Frayer 4 Square graphic organizer with a partner which students can do in class.
