Engaging Families

Engaging Families

Some of the ways I've seen my current and former schools engage families

  • Translating everything into the appropriate language (often English on one side, Spanish on reverse)
  • Having a translator and parent advocate on staff (very resourceful!)
  • Translating work into native language and providing the English version as well
  • Family surveys

As for homework, I believe in being flexible and working with our ESOL contact to help support those students who need additional supports.
