Scenario Response 2

My initial focus would be to research and educate myself the cultural and beliefs of the country the family is from and reach out to any teachers that may have had similar experiences.  Teachers need to be aware of cultural differences and potential challenges students may face in the classroom. I would model for my students behaviors and standards expected of them.  It is important that the teacher represent materials in multiple ways and provide many opportunities for interaction with families.
