Module 4 Discussion: Home Language Survey

I need to ask what language is spoken at home.  This will let me know what language the student has been exposed to the most.  I also need to ask what language parents prefer to communicate in.  This will tell be what language report card should be in and if I need a translator for conferences.  Next, I need to know if the student can speak or understand another language.  I currently have many students who can speak Spanish, but only a few can read in Spanish.  In order to help my student be successful, I need to determine the best was to speak with him/her and his or her parents.
