Module 5 Video Discussion
For a criteria-based assessment in my art class, I would use a self-assessment checklist followed by a peer critique. The self-assessment would encourage students to reflect on their work and ensure they have met the project requirements before submitting it. The peer critique would provide constructive feedback and allow students to learn from one another. Together, these assessment strategies promote reflection, collaboration, and continuous improvement while helping students produce higher-quality artwork.
An interim assessment in my art class could be a portfolio review. Students would submit several pieces of artwork completed throughout the unit, this will allow me to assess multiple skills, such as creativity, artistic techniques, craftsmanship, and composition using a Rubric.
