Self-Assessment
Module 12 Discussion
As I sit and self assess myself I realize that most students now come in as struggling readers. Reading these passages being informed and reviewing strategies and approaches to use as well as what interventions could be appropriate to use has been eye opening. So much of what I used to do on primary grade level I find myself having to use those same strategies and materials for the upper grade. I've also noticed throughout this training as well and a Cohort I attended during the school year writing should also be at the forefront with reading in order for ELL or non ELL students to grasp an understanding of what is being read or said in a book/story, for them to think and write about what they read or even give a review on how they liked it or give them an opportunity to write their own words or a story.
