The coteaching approach in the video showed benefits for both teachers and students. The general education teacher and the ESL teacher collaborated effectively through regular monthly meetings to discuss instructional content, plan strategies, and coordinate vocabulary instruction in the classroom. The ELL students also benefit from this approach because both teachers communicate and work together to create individualized support for English learners.

Although I have not yet implemented a coteaching model in my classroom, I see the value it can bring and would consider using this approach in the future. Partnering with an ESL teacher would allow me to better understand each students language acquisition level. Regular communication with the ESL teacher would also help determine whether students are meeting expectations and progressing academically.
