Scenario Response 3:
Mod 6 Response
This student would be considered to be a field-dependent student. Being that the student proceeds faithfully and dutifully with anything asked of him tells me that he values group work, enjoys working towards a common goal, thrives on cooperation, and enjoys collaboration as students who are field-dependent do. Given that the student is field-dependent, I'm going to do two things to help that student experience the most success. To help the student with collaboration, discussions, and group work that they crave and identify with, I would have Kagan structures present in my classroom and utilize Kagan strategies throughout the day for multiple subjects. To provide support for the student in regards to some of the characteristics that come along with being a field-dependent learners, I would provide instruction on remaining on task, punctuality, and time consciousness, as well as implement structures to match those expectations.
