As a Communication and Social Skills Site Coach Who Advocates for Diversity inclusion and equality for all, this means a lot to me.  It shows progression in todays society for equality for our ELL students. I feel longer content in their first language helps bridge the understanding of learning.  It is imperative to ensure teachers are properly prepared to teach ELL students within the mainstream setting, this sets them up for continued success and not only empowers the student but the teacher as well.  Districts need to allow teacher to do what they do best and that is teach and stop focusing on meeting a timeline.  Students learn different and teachers have to teacher according to the students learning style and embedding English instruction within all subjects.
