I am going to say this student is field-dependent. The socially inclined behavior with peers and the teacher are what brings me to that conclusion. Though, I'd be remiss to say the fact they would do any task given made me consider if they might have possibly been field-independent at first.

As such, I would prioritize putting the student in cooperative tasks where they could potentially take on a more natural learning approach, as if they are field-dependent I would think they may have cultural backgrounds that make the student more inclined to benefit from said co-op assignments.
