Mod 5 Discussion: Formal and Informal Assessments

One formative assessment that I have used in the past with success was exit tickets. It gave me quick and immedate feedback of how the students were doing on the lesson that we had been working on. There I was able to make groups for the next day and either reteach or give extra practice and support to the students who need it. 

One formative assessment approach that I would like to use going forward are gallery walks. I think that it is a great idea not only for the students to be able to present their work but also for other students to be able to walk around and get a truly good look at it all.
