Mod 15 Video Discussion

In my personal experience it can definitely be a challenge to manage "turn and talk" or group work effectively because students can easily get off track. Some effective strategies that I learned from the videos are setting explicit guidelines for collaborative talk, making sure the students not only know the guidelines for group work and discussion but understand what effective groups look and sound like. From the videos I now understand the importance of practicing communication norms and that they need to to be reviewed and discussed regularly as well as  having anchor charts for students to refer back to.
