The ELL outcomes mean that every student is afforded the same educational opportunity despite their first language. Outcome 1: Focuses on effective integration. ELL students are not forced to fast track "bilingual immersion" and are given understanding and grace for this challenging and daunting task of not only learning grade level curriculum and content but learning a new language in the process. This outcome allows  students to enroll and participate in other classes with their peers in various subject areas such as music, art or physical education which have proven to be beneficial, instead of being forced to improve their English language ability.
