It is important to review student data to see where they are at, what lead up to where they are academically, and where we think they can be.

Critical questions are important because they are what drive a successful lesson. There are more learning opportunities when students are having to answer critical questions. It makes for a more meaningful lesson when a student has to dig a little deeper when answering questions. Yes/No questions are not showing what a student has learned.

Identify Learning Gaps: Using date can help us see where learning gaps are in our classroom. It can help us as teachers build small groups, centers, and what we need to look at when building our lessons.

Action Plan: Taking all things above into consideration it will help plan and execute successful lessons in the classroom.
