Juxtaposing Strategy is a strategy I use during my reading lessons.  For example, when we are analyzing characters, I like to show pictures of people to compare personal traits. Also, I like to compare objects and ideas. I remember reading a text call “The Birthmark”, my students compared different characters from this text and previous reading. They enjoyed the exercise, and they draw very interesting conclusions before we started answering the comprehension questions.  I believe this technique help our ELL learners because they can start from basic ideas to build an entire message, like a puzzle.
