Mod 13 Discussion: SIOP discussion

Having watched the SIOP Video, and reviewed the SIOP Guide housed in this module, what makes SIOP a cross cultural practice? Where is this in the SIOP Guide?

The SIOP or Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol) makes a cross cultural practice because the 8 steps make our lessons to be inclusive and taking in consideration different learning styles. We can see this in: Building background, interaction and contextualizing key vocabulary. Also, we can take in consideration the wait time because it varies by culture and the cooperative learning activities.
