Introductions- Tell Us About Yourself!

Hi everyone! 

My name is Lauren Bowersox, and I currently teach 4th grade math and science. I’ve taught both 2nd and 4th grade and love working with upper elementary students—especially when we get to do hands-on science activities!

I earned my degree in Elementary Education (K-6) from Queens University of Charlotte, where I was also a collegiate swimmer. I’ve been in education for three years and am passionate about building a classroom community where students feel seen, supported, and excited to learn.

Outside of school, I live with my husband and our sweet 4-year-old cocker spaniel named Izzy. I’m originally from Birmingham, Alabama, but we’re in the middle of a move to Florida. When I’m not lesson planning or grading papers, I love spending time at the beach, trying new recipes, and watching rom-coms or true crime documentaries. Oh—and my favorite ice cream is cookie dough, hands down!
