Module 1 Discussion: The Stages of Language Progression

It shouldn't be surprising that students could spend weeks in the earliest stage, silently adjusting and taking in their surroundings, but it is. We assume babies spend time in this period, but don't often allow the same period of time for ELLs. These students need ample time for processing, and this is certainly something educators must take into account.
