Scenario Response 2

As an administrator, I will prepare my teachers by providing professional learning to better serve the new students.  The learning will focus on the following concepts:  cultural awareness and sensitivity, building trust and rapport, clear and inclusive communication, different educational expectations, fostering a safe and inclusive environment, culturally responsive teaching, involving families, and providing emotional and social support.  Teachers must have proper training and skills to provide an environment where students from all cultures can be successful in learning.
