I would start with partner work but put them with a partner that is more lead field independent student. Let them lead the think pair share and have the field dependent share opinion to their partner for them to be more comfortable with partner than giving opinion to whole class. Have partners talk about their ideas and come up with a consensus. Then allow the students to run the class/conversation by allowing a group to start the whole group discussion and get each group to participate by allowing students to pick the next group to go up and have conversations. Then have the whole class come up with a consensus by using their discussions they just had.
