When adopting/adapting a curriculum, cultural sensitivity, benchmark alignment, and inclusivity are guidelines to consider. Committees should take into account diverse population needs, different technological resources that are accessible, opportunities for scaffolding and differentiation, and engaging students with content that is unbiased, and meaningful to student learning as well as aligned to the  benchmark and learning outcomes. We must also keep in mind student progression towards their goals. On going self-evaluation tools (rubric) based on learning goals/objectives can be used as a guide for student success.
