In our class, we currently use rectangular tables with  5 to 6 students to each table. Student collaborative groups are arranged based on students’ academic ability. For every group, students have a specific role to ensure participation from everyone. This promotes positive peer to peer and student to teacher interactions. Not for competition, but complete assignments together as a group then collectively bringing project together to collaborate in whole group.
