Mod 9 Discussion of my English Language Learners

Two strategies I feel would be successful is systematic vocabulary instruction and picture walks.  

Systematic vocabulary instruction helps students to see words and their meanings in real life situations.  This makes the meaning more concrete and meaningful.

Picture walks are great for younger students.  They the student to think critically and make predictions.  Picture walks can help students make a connection to the story to become more interested.  They can help students to better understand the story.
