Mod 7 Discussion: Cross Cultural Awareness

The resource I chose was Scholastic.  I love Scholastic for their exceptional resources for teacher, not only through books but printables, as well.

Scholastic offers many multicultural books at varying reading levels.  Using these books as read alouds and in the classroom library exposes the entire classroom community to different cultures.  The varying levels of books in the classroom will helpo all readiers to build competency and confidence in reading.  The printable activites can be used in small group with peer or teacher scaffolding.
