Format: Potluck and Powerpoint

Accomodations: translator for attendees, information printed in native languages

I. First 20-25 minutes:

     a. Arrive and check-in

     b. Enjoy traditional foods from attendees cultures and mingle

     c. Look at cultural artwork created by students

II. 10-15 minutes: Powerpoint presentation with visuals

     a. Welcome to attendees

     b. Explanation, with video representation, of gradual release lesson model

     c. Overview of classwork completion expectations

     c. Overview of homework expectations

   III. 5-10 minutes: Question and answer session

Upon leaving, attendees will pick up a "key notes" handout.
