The article explains how multicultural representation is important to science and engineering. Seeing this data makes me realize it is not only in those fields, it is everywhere. Second language learners are used to their culture and will more than likely go within a field of work that they are confident in and know well because of their culture. As a teacher, I can look past those biases and encourage students to do and work as they please to possibly open up a different, bigger world of opportunities.

Learning a second language include learning another culture. Teachers play a crucial role in broadening student's perspectives and helping them overcome potential biases.
