Based on the provided information I would say that this student fits into the field-dependent category. It appears that he prefers to work in a group, is easily agreeable, and responds well to assigned tasks. This all makes the student to be a social and extrinsically motivated person. The implications that need consideration in class to when he is working in a group setting to maybe spend more time with that group, make checklist for everything (including small details), and having lots of peer based learning opportunities.
