It is extremely vital not only to get to know our students but to also really understand their different learning styles. Knowing what they read, how they read, how they learn and focus as well. Building this relationship with your class eases some discomfort that may be there for students, especially ELLs. By doing this, we can understand more of their culture, learning styles, and likes/dislikes to then be an addition to the classroom environment.

I like how you mentioned knowing how your students focus. That is something that I feel a lot of people don't think about as much as what learning style their students have.
