Mod 5 Discussion: Formal and Informal Assessments

Fifth-grade students love to participate in "THINK-PAIR-SHARE" Activities because they are not immediately "put on the spot".  Success in my opinion is based on my ability to roam between the groups and hear the wonderful conversations about the topic. With the advent of a new school year, I am excited to try "Backwards Book Walk. It seems to be a quick way to activate background knowledge.
