Social interactionist acquisition theory would apply the most in this scenario because of the little to english speaking and also his parents speak no english. He has little to no speech though example. For this student I would have them working in groups as much as possible so the said student can apply those listening skills and also have the example of speech with their peers. I would also have a routine  conversion with student to develop the new language
