  • Why, and for what purpose does this serve?
    • In order to keep a low stress, fun-filled classroom environment it is key to ensure that students have an welcoming environment. Overcorrection can cause stress and anxiety.  
  • Suggest some alternative ways to bring about student awareness for self-correction.

A better way is to allow the student to self-correct which can be done by demonstrating examples of the correct answer or allowing the students to work with peers. It can also be helpful to ask the student to try again as they often realize their own mistakes.
