Mod 20 Discussion: Goals for This Course Revisited

My Goals at the start:

1. Understand how my students' diverse backgrounds affect how they talk to each other.
2. Help my students deal with communication roadblocks in different situations.
3. Create a classroom where everyone respects and learns from each other's cultural differences in communication.

To meet these goals, I actively listened to my students, allowing them to share their diverse backgrounds and perspectives on communication. I provided guidance and support to help them navigate communication challenges, teaching effective strategies like active listening and using nonverbal cues. Through classroom activities and discussions, I promoted respect for cultural differences, creating an inclusive environment where students learned from each other's communication styles.
