Jin seems to be struggling to understand the writing prompt, which affects his ability to start writing. This issue could be caused by  the set-up of instructions given- students like structure, and if the assignment was presented in a way that was different than he is used to, he might be frustrated. This could also be due to difficulty with reading comprehension or feeling unsure about the task. 

To help Jin for future writing events, I'll focus on a few things. First, I'll work on improving his reading skills, making sure he understands the words and phrases used in the prompts. Then, I'll work on boosting his confidence by giving him practice with similar writing tasks in a low-pressure environment. Additionally, I'll encourage him to advocate for himself by asking questions and seeking clarification when needed. By addressing Jin's reading comprehension, confidence, and encouraging him to advocate for himself, I believe he'll be better prepared for success in his future writing-based assignments and tests.
