Module 5 Discussion: Language Acquisition in Content Areas

What language activities can be consistently worked into a cross curricular curriculum to reinforce morphological awareness and other linguistic skills, while deepening understanding of content at the same time? Feel free to share practices you have used successfully in the past.  Have students create a vocabulary notebook.  As new vocabulary is introduced, students write down the word and definition along with an example if possible.  Use new vocabulary as often as possible so that the students are hearing it repeated.
