I think in this scenario the students would benefit from me building their vocabulary to a point that they can integrate better socially. By focusing on the vocabulary, the student can learn what to say and how to say it, which will encourage them to join conversations and build their social skills. Without the vocabulary first, they may not want to socialize as they feel behind or have a hard time understanding. Giving them the vocabulary first will help them integrate socially more significantly than building them socially first.
