I would look at the data first and use that to drive my decisions in creating another set of groups. Heterogeneous groups are good ways to challenge both high and low performers. Students will be able to learn from different learning styles and it will push them out of their comfort zone. During this transition, it is important to go over group guidelines again and aid students in their transition to a new group.
