Mod 5 Discussion: Formal and Informal Assessments

A formative assessment I use quite often is an exit ticket.  These give immediate feedback on whether the student was able to successfully grasp the concept being taught, and if not, gives me an idea of what skills need to be an area of focus.

I would like to use gallery walks more in my classroom with my students.  I have used these previously and have seen tremendous interaction and learning being performed by the students.  The level of engagement is quite high as the students work together and express their ideas.
