As a Media Specialist, I usually only see a group of students 45 minutes weekly. I really enjoyed the reading activity in a different language (The rabbit that ate carrots story in mandarin), and then being able to explain the key words to the students. Also, I will be using that verb game in the future, as that is a great way to add motion and energy to a lesson, while still maintaining focus on grammar. Moving forward, I would consider bringing in second language speakers to assist in doing a lesson focused on that language. For my school and setting, I have plenty of teachers who are fluent in Spanish and it could make an extremely fun and educational lesson for the students.
