Brain-Based Theory is the language acquisition-based theory discussed in the scenario.  In my classroom I would use illustrations with labels, front-loading lessons with vocabulary and concepts with pictures and video clips.  I would also use classmates to locate illustrations and videos to assist in both increasing a sense of community as well as increasing the knowledge of the non-ELL students.
