I believe the student needs to better focus social vocabulary to begin with. As an ELA teacher I need to help develop both their academic and social vocabulary. Helping them be more comfortable with clearly communicating makes getting to mastery over those words easier. This plan may be slow going in the beginning but pay off in the end.
