Mod 11 Discussion: Teaching Critical Literacy

Our students really liked the compare/contrast object lesson. We compared and contrasted several items found in nature (rocks, leaves, etc.). This higher order life skill, to be able to categorize, was a challenge for most of the students.  But after a few rounds of presenting different objects, the students were able to effectively group the items in terms of their similarities and differences.
