This student is definitely a field dependent learner. These passive learners relies heavily on the teacher and his or her peers to complete tasks. However, for the classroom, this means that student should not be classified and put into a mold because of a student’s background, culture or socioeconomic background. One suggestion for placing this student in assigned task is to place him or her in cooperative learning groups, to maximize learning.  In addition to maximizing learning, the student’s self-esteem will increase.
