  • What are the most important questions you would need to ask your students, or your students' parents in order to best meet their academic and communication needs?

The most important questions on the survey include: “What is the predominant language spoken in the home by the parents/guardians? And “What is the country of national origin of the student?”

  • Name any that you feel you would modify, and explain.

While I feel that it is incredibly important to know the country of origin of the students, it is also important to know how long they lived in that country and what their educational background is in their native language.  I feel that these questions need to be added to the survey in order to gain a better understanding of not only the student’s academic needs, but also to ascertain why they moved, and what circumstances may have led to their family’s decision to move.
