It was designed to support Common Core Standards and has a scope and sequence listing standards and an item analysis  which incorporates Depth of Knowledge  (DOK) level.

It addresses multicultural readiness across grade levels and within the grade.

The content in this book is addressed through units and lessons which provides a readiness diagnostic for each unit.  It is designed to give each student a strong foundation for previous units.

Its application is specifically designed to promote understanding for 3rd graders and builds on that knowledge. There are also real world applications provided to help students understand the further application of mathematics.

There is a list of objectives for each content unit.

Graphics, charts, game stations, spiral reviews, and other learning aids are all within the text which provides the student with valuable resources. Even STEM applications are included.

Pictures, graphics, and other visual aids are also provided throughout the text to increase student understanding of the concept.
