Mod 5 Discussion: Formal and Informal Assessments

One formative assessment that I have used in the past is pre-assessment.  This has been successful in getting to know what the students already know and what learning will be new to them.  It also allows me to determine which students will need the most support and which students will need enrichment actitivities.

The formative assessment approach that I would like to use is Accountable Conversation Questions.   This will boost students' confidence as well as give me some understanding of their level of understanding and what they need for support.
