Mod 8 Discussion: Tiering and Scaffolding in My Classroom

During ELA , I scaffold instruction by previewing vocabulary with pictures to help students make a connection to help with comprehension.  I also teach using context clues from reading the vocabulary words in a sentence to help determine the meaning of the words before the definition is presented. Additionally, I have students use think alouds, turn and talks, and think pair shares frequently throughout the lessons.
