Mod 16 Discussion: Modifications for the Second Language Learner

Teachers who are working with SLL's have a myriad of ways to modify materials, instructional content and activities to meet the needs of the learners. The goal of these modifications is to support all learners fully grasp content, work on language skills, be able to comprehend information, and improve the overall academic successes of each and every student. 

In addition to the modifications outlined in this module and the book "Selecting  and Modifying Materials to Differentiate", two other modifications teacher/instructors should  consider imploring  are language/vocabulary/communication supports and consciously tailoring learning experiences to the style of learning that matches/supports the students best.
