An example of a project I do is to instruct students to write a journal entry from the perspective of one of the characters at a specific point in the novel. I would use the peer coaching feedback strategy, telling students to begin with what they liked best about their writing. 

I would give students sentence starters to help guide their feedback, and possibly write it down in the form of a worksheet. Examples of sentence starters include: “I think this sentence could be stronger if you added/took away…” and “I liked how you included the word…because…”
